season ii - Southeast asia, here we come!

ep. 7 - istanbul airport - the longest layover ever

Have you ever had a long layover? We found ourselves in the Istanbul Airport with 8 hours to kill before our flight was leaving for Bangkok, Thailand… And then things happened.

ep. 6 - The Queen Who Would Be King - following a Pharaoh mentor to an empowering life

Can you believe we were going to skip going to Luxor?? If we had, we wouldn't have met our friend Nicole F Carey and heard her life story of emancipating herself at 15 and overcoming addiction by turning to volunteer work, and finally following the footsteps of a long-dead mentor - Hatshepsut, the longest reigning female Pharoah in the history of Egypt.

Ep. 5 - Capetown to Cairo - a journey of a lifetime that almost didn't happen

While hanging out at a hostel in Cairo we met Jay Currie, aka The Frugal Nomad, who had a dream to travel Africa and drive from Capetown to Cairo. The dream was planned and ready to go with a TV crew and 19 participants stopping at Fairtrade locations along the way, when a single week before liftoff, the network pulled the plug. What would you do?

Wp. 4 - confessions of an israeli leftist

This one requires a disclaimer, friends. Being Israeli, I’ve grown up with the reality of the Israel-Palestine conflict and I have many feelings about it. I’m not shy about the way I feel and I talk about it fairly often, especially when I’m amongst Non-Israelis who want to know. And many of them want to know. But I’ve never shared my feelings quite like this before, and I'm no historian. So please keep in mind that these are my personal thoughts and my personal conflict. There’s never enough time, especially in this type of format, to get into all of the nuances of what happens on the ground. The situation in Israel is complicated because of many reasons and we couldn't possibly go into them all.

Ep. 3 - Cancer Heroes in the Arab Community in Israel

When we were in Israel, we met Mohammad Hamed, whose mission in life is to make information about cancer more accessible in the Palestinian community in Israel and Arab communities all over the world, as well as to help fund treatments and support cancer survivors in any way he can.

This is a truly special episode, friends. Please watch.

Ep. 2 - Israel Homecoming - two months in the homeland isn't as easy as it seems

We decided to head to Israel for two months - and Passover, aka the biggest feast of the year - so we could spend real time with family and friends after not seeing them for two years. It was marvelous, but hard at the same time. How do you reconcile changes in yourself and where you come from? And what is it that we're actually doing with this show? It's not always easy, but it's worth it.

Ep. 1 - Escaping the United states?

Even though the months we spent working in NYC to save money for this journey were intense, we did it! And then it was time to leave. Did we make it? “Fuck it, Yes!” we did!. And it's only the beginning.

Season ii - here we go… again!

Our Season II opener - after Season I ended we made our way back to NYC to make some money so that we can head back out on the road, and this time across the world!

Season I: Our travels around the USA in a 1981 Ford F-2500 Camper Conversion searching for “Fuck it, Yes!” stories

Ep. 16 - A Savannean reminds us that it’s not supposed to be easy, it’s supposed to be worth it

Friends, we love Savannah, GA; so much so we were here over a month, and in no small part because we got vaccinated... and that we got to drive in a 1989 Citroen Deux Chaveau, and fly in a Taylorcraft plane from 1946 (well, Maya did anyway...)

Ep. 15 - A wish for Peace

Friends, we decided to post something out of the norm this time. The situation in Israel has deteriorated to a horrifying point. The violence must stop.

Ep. 14 - Life on the road

Traveling the country and finding the extraordinary in people who often believe they are no more than ordinary has been, and is currently, one of the highlights of our lives. However…

Ep. 13 - Brave conversations in North Carolina

Jackson was still upset that we were really going to North Carolina instead of Florida on vacation, but he warmed up once we met up with the incomparable Katie Gailes…

Ep. 12 - The Keys or bust!

Jackson was upset we were going back into the North Carolina cold, so he dreamed of warmer climes in the great southern state of Florida.

Ep. 11 - Not those kinds of mushrooms

After finally leaving Staunton we started making our way South. You know, where we were supposed to have been months and months ago. First stop, a mushroom farm in North Carolina…

Ep. 10 - “…Wait, let’s go back.” Part 2

Friends, this is a special one for us. We ended up staying with Jeremy and Phoebe for so long that we were welcomed into their bubble and their Christmas cheer. Oh, and there’s a surprise at the end. A FKITYES surprise, so stick around!

Ep. 9 - “…Wait, let’s go back.” Part 1

Back in December we went down to Staunton, VA, to meet up with one of Christopher’s best friends, Jeremy West, to talk to him about his own personal FKITYES - opening a theatre company in the middle of a pandemic!

EP. 8 - The thanksgiving episode!

We finally left New York and drove down to Virginia on Thanksgiving Eve, and then ran into some trouble. As per usual. And it was almost Christmas! Shenanigans ensued.

Ep.7 - Nurse Josie and the Macabre

The continuation of our time in New York, when we went to see Liz Muller (from Dark Obscurities in the previous episode) and interviewed her awesome mother Josie. Also, will Madame P make it?

Ep.6 - Dark obscurities

We finally made it to New York back in October and were invited to experience an awesome, horror-inspired soundscape by our new friends from Dark Obscurities, Liz Muller and John Skufca. Check them out: www.DarkObscurities.com

EP. 5 - Better Late Than Never

We finally got our beloved Madame P down to Southern California and set off on our journey... right back to where we just came from? Oh, and we got a bear.

EP. 4 - HAPPY MERRY!

Happy Holidays, everybody! This year hasn't been easy, but you've all been amazing. We love you! Christopher, Maya, and Jackson.

EP. 3 - camp walamata

Time to finally meet Greg Hayes and discover why Christopher calls him HOUI. And then, off to southern California to pick up Maya and whisk her away for her birthday.

Three day trip, tops!!!!

EP. 2 - THE ACQUISITION

It’s a glimpse into the world of computer hacker and punk rock guitarist, Corey Benninger, who is now riding out the pandemic in a log cabin on Goonies Beach. It’s also the day we finally buy the infamous Paradise Inn!

Ep. 1 - The beginning

Our real first episode! This is the beginning of our crazy journey, when Christopher flew all the way to Oregon from Southern California to buy our camper…
